Jean Guyon, proprietor of Château Rollan de By in the Médoc, has shaped the estate into one of the region’s most respected Cru Bourgeois through vision, meticulous work, and a deep respect for the land. Originally from a background outside traditional winemaking, he acquired the property in the 1990s and transformed it through thoughtful vineyard restoration and precise, quality-driven viticulture.

Today, Rollan de By spans gravel and clay-limestone terroirs in the northern Médoc, farmed with an approach that prioritizes balance, biodiversity, and gentle intervention. Guyon’s philosophy focuses on crafting wines that express elegance over power — wines defined by purity of fruit, refined structure, and the timeless character of the Médoc.
